Despite his blood-thirsty nature, Mick fell in love with a mortal -- reporter Beth -- and was all the more endearing because he was a vamp with a conscience; he didn't hunt women, kids or innocents.

October already!

Hello everyone.

I would like to start by talking a bit about The American Red Cross. As you all know I was approached whilst on the show Moonlight to be a spokesperson and representative for this organization. Of course I accepted immediately. I felt honored to be a part of it and hoped I could somehow make a difference in the lives of others. Now with my Red Cross involvement drawing to a close I can only hope I did enough, but that being said I would like to bring up something I have mentioned before.

ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE INVOLVED!!

It was only possible for me to participate because so many wonderful, committed and passionate people came before me and put everything in it's right place for me to be able to slip into the role I eventually did. There are so many of you (and you know who you are!) who were instrumental in this venture and some of you I had the opportunity to thank personally, but to the others I never met or spoke with, thank you so very much. From the bottom of my heart I appreciate the goodwill and charity with which you all worked, and if everyone in the world practiced the same selflessness as you, well..... ;) I think we would all be doing just fine by now! Thank you.

I have only just caught up on all of my birthday mail and there were many of you who sent the most wonderful gifts and cards/letters/messages. It made my birthday something extra ordinary and I felt very loved so thank you very much!!

Wow, lots of "thank you"s today.

As for me, I am great. I am very busy, and have been since we last chatted, on the new project I am developing but it is all still hush hush, sorry guys! Anyway, I don't want to get anyone's hopes up in case we don't make it to the screen. So fingers crossed!

I will keep you all posted as soon as I have some exciting news!!

The truly wonderful thing is, Moonlight was canceled in May but you continue to keep it & its cast alive and newsworthy!

TV Guide ~ Will Alex O'Loughlin return to The Shield?

Before Alex O'Loughlin became Mick St John on Moonlight, he was Detective Kevin Hiatt on the television show The Shield. A reader wrote to TV Guide to ask if he will reprise that role since CBS failed to renew Moonlight. Several of you have recently asked me the same question.

Mickey: The scoop on the final season of The Shield is locked up tighter than the canceled Moonlight's soundstages (ouch), but I have confirmed that O'Loughlin will not reappear. At the fall previews, however, Shield creator Shawn Ryan said that other familiar faces might. So keep your eyes peeled!

Alex O'Loughlin's Expressive Eyes

Alex O'Loughlin has such an incredibly expressive face. Those eyes alone can say so much. Many a message has been sent discussing what color they are and their bedroom dreaminess ~ ha! Alex describes them as hazel-y blue. But the color changes with his moods, depending on how much sleep he has gotten, etc. Just for you I am posting these great photos of Alex (has he ever taken a bad photograph?!!??!) that focus on those eyes of his. Sooooo many ways this story could go. We knew our writers were fantastic, but they are going all out with these four new episodes! I am torn cuz I can not wait to see them, and yet I also don't want to get to the last one.

According to the schedule, the TV Guide channel will be featuring the actors & actresses who were on their list of TV's Sexiest Stars today. Since Alex O'Loughlin won the Sexiest Sci-Fi Guy category, he is included on the program. The show is set to air at 2:00 PM, 7:00 PM, 10:00 PM & Midnight Central Time today ~ Sunday, May 4, 2008. Check your local listings.

Alex's segment is in the last 15 minutes of the show.

Programming note ~ For those who haven't seen Alex O'Loughlin's excellent work in the role of Detective Kevin Hiatt on The Shield.... and others like me who have but can watch it over & over.... now is your chance to catch the show. Alex's first job in an American tv series. Thank goodness he was hired & stayed in the US so we could have our Moonlight! His character debuted in The New Guy (episode #6x69), which will be rebroadcast tomorrow morning.

Mick St John AND Josef Kostan vamped out! *swoon* We knew from previous spoilers that they would be battling some bad Vampires together. Seeing an image from that scene just makes me more excited! Some of my girls are gonna squeal over Alex's tongue making an appearance. :> Check out the expressions on their faces. Mick looks like he is relishing the impending brawl.
