Update on Moonlight's set status

Everyone has been wondering if Moonlight's sets have been torn down or not. Several fans went on the Warner Bros lot tour yesterday. The crew has begun to strike the sets and place them in storage. However, they left some of parts up.... like Mick's loft & Beth's apartment.... for the touring fans to enjoy :) Isn't that sweet of them?

The good news is that the sets are being stored, not destroyed.

I've received several emails about this, so.... Rumors are swirling that our sets may be moved to New York, and that Moonlight could film there to take advantage of the tax breaks & lower production costs. The show, Ugly Betty, is moving to NY for the same reason. Keep in mind..... these are just rumors! Nothing has been confirmed at this time. No one knows when we will learn the exact fate of our show. I don't know about you, but I'm in this for the long haul.

Report from the rally

My sweet friend, Cinnamon, was one of the amazing Moonlight fans who rallyed for our show today.... er.... uh.... yesterday now. :) She reports that well over 100 people were there in the rain! Fans were on all four corners at the intersection. They held signs and cheered while receiving lots of honks, waves and positive feedback from those driving by AND people on the Warner Bros lot.

Thank you to all those who stood up for Moonlight and fans around the world!

Moonlight fans will rally in Los Angeles on Friday, May 23rd

For all Moonlight fans in the Los Angeles area and those planning to travel there for the convention this weekend.........

A rally is planned for the Friday, May 23rd, 2008 at 2:00 PM Pacific Time. Fans will meet at the Warner Bros lot in LA. The gathering is planned for the gate at West Olive Street & North Pass. This is a positive gathering! Feel free to bring signs/posters showing your support of Moonlight, Silver Pictures and the WB. We want to encourage them to continue trying to find a home for our show.

This is not a protest against the studio or to bash CBS.

Video ~ Alex O'Loughlin on the Sexiest TV Stars red carpet

This video is of the red carpet interviews from TV Guide's Sexiest TV Stars party in LA. It shows lots of the folks on the list....... Jennifer Love Hewitt (Ghost Whisperer), Zachary Levi (Chuck), Katee Sackoff (Battlestar Galactica), Olivia Wilde (House) and so on. You see a quick glimpse of Alex O'Loughlin posing for all the photos at 0:20. Appropriately, the announcer says "It's all about sexy!" just as they show him :)

Most important of course, Alex appears for his brief chat around the 1:04 mark of the clip. He is such a relaxed & funny person. "I didn't realize I was quite that hairy until I saw the shot."

Alex O'loughlin at TV Guide's Sexiest Stars party in LA

Matt Mitovich attended the party TV Guide threw to honor the folks on their Sexiest Stars list. Of course, that included Alex O'Loughlin. In the photos above from last night, Alex is pictured with his fellow Aussie actor, Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck).

Here's what Matt had to say about our Alex.........

Sexiest Stars: Sexy Party Secrets Revealed!
by Matt Webb Mitovich ~ TV Matt'rs

The party celebrating TV Guide's Sexiest Stars issue is just starting to clear out, and for the first time in, oh, six hours I am off my feet. What a time! Katsuya and S Bar here at Hollywood and Vine was chock full of pretty — and that was even before I discovered the whole other room in the back! The turnout was terrific. You had a nearly full House (cast), a bazillion Dancing stars (past and present), Chuck and "Sarah" and, yes, Alex O'Loughlin. TV Guide's Sexiest Woman on TV 2008, Jennifer Love Hewitt, put in an early appearance, entirely earning her honor in a super-shimmery shape-hugging shift (is what I think the ladies call it).

While the memories of my countless laps around the party crowd are still fresh (and only moderately fogged by vodka and tonic), let me do my best to take you inside the Sexiest night of my year.

• A-ha, there's the elusive, everyone-is-looking-for-him Alex O'Loughlin. Having just seen each other last week for the video Q&A, we quickly reconnect, and I tell him how well the first batch of Moonlight fans' questions answered was received. Alas, there is still no word on Season 2, but all fingers are crossed. Ooh, is "cross" a bad word in vampire context…?

Los Angeles ~ See Alex O'Loughlin in person, give blood and save lives!

The amazing Paley Center event for Moonlight is next Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008 in Los Angeles. Outside, the Moonlight Blood Drive will be in full swing! It is so thrilling to see the attention this is bringing to our show. Not only that, but how proud Alex, Sophia and the gang are of their fans efforts to help others while supporting Moonlight. :) In fact, they are going to make an appearance at the Paley Center blood drive! *cheer* I have heard from several people who were unable to get tickets to the sold out event... BUT.... they are still going to donate blood. YEA!

Please, make your appointments! Since the cast will be there, we want them to be blown away by their fans.... right?

Be sure to take lots of photos!

Details ~

The biggest Moonlight Blood Drive is 4/22/08 at the Paley Center where the actors will make an appearance. To make an appointment go to www.givelife.org and use the password moonlight (all lower case). This will take the donor straight to the Paley Center events calendar. This is where you can make an appointment from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Donors with an appointment will be given preference over walk-ins. Come out, save a life and see some stars!
